Respite Care

Flexible short-term support for participants and carers

A break that works for everyone — quality support for you, and rest for families and carers.

Respite Care gives participants a change of environment and routine, and gives primary carers time to rest and recharge. Supports can be short-term or planned, in-home or in other suitable settings, and always focused on safety, engagement and wellbeing.

What Respite can include

  • Assistance with daily living — cooking, laundry, cleaning and personal care
  • Social engagement and community participation
  • Life skills and household routines
  • Short-term or planned overnight support where appropriate
  • 24/7 support options when needed and funded
